Woodstock, NY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Often Sought Apprenticeship with Internationally Renowned Herbalist and Author Susun Weed now More Accessible

People come from all over the world to apprentice with Susun at the Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY. Women stay and study for one week to several months. It is a life changing experience for most. Now, those who wish this same transformative learning but have other commitments that prevent them from staying weeks at a time away from home, as well as men who wish to apprentice but are unable to do so through her live-in apprenticeship, have the opportunity through Susun Weed’s Wise Woman live-out apprenticeship.

This year, 2009, students come for seven weekends, plus a graduation day on Nov. 1, staying over one night for most, two nights for one of those weekends to be able to attend a Friday night moonlodge.

Wise Woman Apprentices will learn the ins and outs of herbal medicine, plant identification and medicine making. They will nourish their healing abilities and leadership qualities, and gain valuable skills in working with a variety of people, plants, and problems.

The apprenticeship includes fifteen days of classes with Susun including orientation weekend and graduation, eight overnight stays, including seven dinners and seven breakfasts, a private tarot reading, books including herbals and a field guide, materials to make one’s own medicines, and personal guidance in pursuing one’s own herbal path.

The value of this apprenticeship is $2000. Total cost to you is $1300 paid in full or in monthly payments of $100, with at least $400 paid by April 1, 2009. Limited to 8 apprentices.
