FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, New York Offers Men and Women the Chance to Earn Credit While Learning.

Every year the Wise Woman Center in Woodstock, NY, has Work Exchange Weekends and Work/Learn Days for those wishing to come and learn who don’t have easy access to cash.  This herbal and woman-empowering teaching center is also a working farm with many opportunities to learn and earn credit toward future classes.

Work Exchange Weekends begin at 10 a.m. with a talking stick ceremony, and then participants work indoors and outdoors in gardens, barn, office, kitchen and grounds.  Join other women and men for one day or for the entire weekend.  A tasty vegetarian lunch is the “thanks” for your help, plus you receive cash or credit good towards dinner and an overnight stay, books, or classes.

The dates for the 2010 Work Exchange Weekends are April 10-11, May 29-30-31 (Memorial Day), July 3-4 (Independence Day), July 31-August 1, September 5-6 (Labor Day), October 30-31 (Halloween), November 6-7, and November 21-21.

The Work/Learn Days combine both the work and the learning into one full day.  In exchange for helping with chores for four to five hours, you get lunch and a two-hour class with Susun Weed.  There is no fee for the class!

Work/Learn Days this year are June 12, June 13, August 14, August 15, October 16, and October 17.  Please let us know in advance if you plan to come.  Contact the Wise Woman Center at wisewoman@herbshealing.com or phone us at 845-246-8081 on Wednesdays between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. eastern time.
