with Susun Weed

October 2, 2010
Woodstock, NY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Plants Have Been Used Through Time and Cultures
as Sacred Healing and Magical Herbs

With world-renowned herbalist and author Susun Weed, explore an aspect of herbal study too often ignored. At the Wise Woman Center, Susun will be sure to challenge your preconceptions of the value and power of such plants.

Plant spirit medicine, fairies and devas, dream pillows, flying oils, love charms, mojo bags, the magic of psychoactive plants, and much more will be discussed and demonstrated in this workshop. Be prepared to be introduced to new concepts, learn new herbal approaches, and take home with you ideas to create your own magic. You will come to understand how to combine your own intentions with the energies of the plants to create more of what you want in life.

The day-long workshop “Magical Plants,” will be taught by Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center on October 2, 2010, from 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Open to men and women. Come learn with the woman known for her empowering teaching styles.

Weather permitting the class leaves promptly at 10:15 a.m. for a talking stick ceremony and a weed walk in the woods with the goats.  You will have lots of time to learn to identify and talk about plants and ask questions.  When the goats take a break, you will prepare and enjoy a wild food lunch.  Class size is small to allow personal attention.  Class held indoors in case of rain.

Each one-day workshop with Susun Weed at the Wise Woman Center costs $75 and includes talking stick ceremony, a weed walk, wild-food lunch, and instruction.
