Press Release

Talking with Plants
with Susun Weed

June 26, 2010
Woodstock, NY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Talk with Your Plants, Listen to Them, and See What You Learn

Join renowned herbalist and author, Susun Weed, at her home in Woodstock, NY, June 26th. She will teach you how to hear the plants with all your senses, and encourage you to trust what you hear.

Learn the language of plants. The Medicine Wheel of Plant Uses makes it easy. By tasting, smelling, feeling, looking, and even listening to the plants you can learn if they are poisonous, medicinal, or edible, and how to best use each one.

You will learn how to refine your senses and tap into the innate desire for survival and health inside you. End the day sitting with a plant new to you to see what you can learn. Then testing that with the herbal wisdom in books, you may be amazed at how accurate you can be.

“Talking with Plants” will be held at the Wise Woman Center on Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 10am-5pm. Open to men and women. You'll be outside among the plants with Susun and the goats, learning to identify, harvest, and use local plants for food and medicine. Fee: $75, includes lunch with a wild salad.

Weather permitting, the class leaves promptly at 10:15 am for a walk in the woods with the goats, where you will have a talking stick ceremony, and lots of time to identify and talk about plants and ask questions. When the goats take a break, a wild food lunch will be prepared and enjoyed. Class size will be kept small to allow personal attention. Class held indoors in case of rain.
