This one-week apprenticeship is for aspiring herbalists who want to learn from and play with the Green Goddess, as well as for past apprentices of Susun’s to share their wisdom and knowledge. Here in the safety of the Wise Woman Center you will play with the fairies, dance with the devas, sing with the stars, and reweave the healing cloak of the Ancients.

Come and enjoy the sisterhood, feeling deeply connected with plants and the planet.  Walk in the woods with Susun and the goats, hear Goddess archetype presentations, and learn botany, plant identification, and the use of common plants for food and medicine.  You will make your own herbal remedy to take home. In addition to studying, you will have the opport0unity to swim in the pond or the river, paddle the canoe, or visit nearby Woodstock, NY.

As part of your apprenticeship you will receive 20 hours of instruction with Susun, classes with visiting instructors and past apprentices, yoga instruction, campfire singing circles, a moonlodge gathering, talking stick ceremony, and optional Green Witch initiation. As well, you will receive materials needed for making herbal medicines, and textbooks valued at more than $100.

This is a serious apprenticeship, not a workshop. Not only is the pace powerful and relentless, but you will encounter and process deep emotions as a result of your shamanic work. There are at least eight hours of instruction a day, plus projects and assignments to complete on your own outside of class time, plus special events throughout the week. We take your commitment to participate in this event very seriously and hope that you do too. Therefore, there are no refunds of any kind, for any reason. If you are concerned that something may interfere with your plans, do consider trip insurance.
